These are those files I have found in my locker from those many years past.
However the black bird heads and the colab afroman are all new.

Enjoy.

Greetings!!!
Holiday Greetings!
It has been a while but I am here to give you all a fresh update to some work I have been producing and editing down.
The series on the left is one related to my recent gift--a Wacom Bamboo tablet.
With this I have been controlling my computer with a flick of a pen. Quite nice.

These frames are in response to this new toy. The concepts are loose and based on the abstract process of creating. One in which is more of a pulse or beat. Slowly I create a background and color palette. From here I can look at what shapes have been created and then slowly define those into...what ever the color defines.

A quick way to stay sharp or at least observational of the things you are making and the potential of the various elements in your environment.

Sunday, November 15, 2009

this is a brief look at the progress we are making at the Co-Lab space on
361 E.Broad.
There will be more to come as soon as there is more work. Speaking of work I am going to head that way now and click some more shots.

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR MORE!!!

Home Front

So on the home front I have always been one to paint on things that aren't mine.

Here we have a fine example of me contributing to the apartment aesthetic by painting the wall.
The next step/update will be the painting of the gallery walls with unique characters such as rats and birds and other small unique things placed around the gallery for individuals to find and enjoy!

Splattered: work

This is a series of water color paintings I have done.
This series is about manipulation and definition.

I manipulate the watercolor pigment with water and mind power.(haha)
The key is to use the water to spread the pigment in a way that is natural rather than with a brush. I usually blow or tilt the paper, allowing the water and pigment to meet and settle on its own accord.

This process is a spectator sport. Once you obtain the power to manipulate the resource you can gain more knowledge about it each time you create.

The bird in the center is the cover to a sketchbook I made my girlfriend.

GEEKEND 2009
kicked off last weekend and with great success!
Many geeks rolled through to check out lectures and courses over a 3 day period at the Hyatt on Bay street Savannah.

One of my favorite speakers was Draplin who had great ideas about work and living as well as personal work and ways to expand clientele and knowledge.

For the event I was assigned the Bumper which looped after the speakers and on the big screen at the after partys.

My concept was to contrast GEEKEND which is associated with the obvious: technology and harware.
I contrasted the event with footage of a PÅ“rilocapsus lineatus (leaf bug)and various nature clips I shot throughout the years.

Why you ask?

The true masterminds of life and productivity are the very things that surround us everyday. The Birds the bees, the flowers and the trees and so on and so forth.

THE GALLERY

Alright everyone.

In Savannah we have collected a handful of GREAT artists and designers and we are OPENING a studio/gallery.

The Gallery is called: ABC or A Blank Canvas.
HERE we will excite, introduce, experiment, exhibit, entice, compile, collaborate, create, etc, etc until we have what we all want:

RECOGNITION,
as well as a place where WE call the shots.
Why work for someone else when we can work for ourselves and each other!!!

What we need is---SPONSORSHIP so If you are able to help In anyway check out our proposal on the left and if you are interested in helping with production/ money/ proposals/ anything and everything.

This place is for YOU so with the help of US, we can Help YOU.

STYLUS and the city bus

So my buddy brought over a wacom tablet for me to shred on.
The shredding has been all over this new project we are working on.
Kinda top secret but I think the pictures say enough.

We are pitching tomorrow and am ready to roll!

I will keep you posted on this project once it comes to me.

CREAM!

So while my stay in Savannah is extended to produce art and a way of living for myself as an artist I have been taking on new projects. One after the other I have been planning and designing at an exciting rate.

Here are a few little tags for Will Doyle's senior film project: CREAM.

RECCCCCCCCCYLEEEEE

I competed in a poster contest oriented around the green movement.

the composition was set to be 11x17, PSD or Illustrator.

My goal was to say recycling,
and entertain the senses with graphics.

I started with the Identification Process: Bottle saying we needed to recycle,
but as time went on and submitions grew I began watching more and more tutorials on the programs I was using. The tutorials explained new and exciting things and with this new knowledge I began experimenting with gradients and tool buttons which allowed maximum duplication and so on and so for. This continued until I feel satisfied with the good times which came from those long hours of concentration.

Learning is fun. Art is fun. Colors are CRAZY!

Those same great Tutorials can be found here:

Intro Motion Board

This is a large composition I have made for the Intro to WVCADV+Legal Aid of WV informational promo.

So right now I am working on an Introduction to the WVCADV+Legal Aid of WV coalition.
The project is based on Info Graphics which allowed me to just package the footage and provide support to the voice over, highlighting specific points of each company.

NEW BLOG, NEW SHOW!

I had to delete my old blog layout because in my thought processing, I never thought to follow the rules.

I never do, which is why I am an artist.

Speaking of art I hope you have checked out the ad for the new art show coming up(top) on,

OCTOBER 29th, 2009.

Come by, support several of Savannah's Finest.
